CHAKRAS ARE…WINDOWS TO YOUR SOUL!

There is an incredible amount of information about chakras. Hopefully after reading this article, you will come away with a deeper understanding of what they are and how they can work for you in whatever capacity you desire. In case you’re unfamiliar with what chakras are, I’ll take a moment to go into a general explanation that should provide some background information as to why they are known as the windows to your soul.

The word chakra means “wheel” or “circle” in the ancient language of Sanskrit (which is now extinct). Therefore, chakras are wheels of energy present in your physical space. There are seven primary chakras positioned along the spine and numbered in ascending order from the base of your spine (at the root chakra) up to the top of your head (at the crown chakra). Behaving like software allowing you as spirit to function appropriately in this physical, three-dimensional world, each chakra has a uniquely distinct purpose. Every chakra is interconnected with every other. And they all connect you with the energy of the universe, Divine Source, and the gift of creation and manifestation.

The colors of the chakras (in their optimal condition) are linked to specific vibrational energies that appear in the same color spectrum as the rainbow. This universal correlation validates the connection of you with the universe and all forms of God and creation energy. The following is a list of the chakras with the positions, colors and abilities (or energetic function) associated with them. [Look at the diagram above to see their positions along the spine.]

1st:   Root Chakra (Red) – Physical self-care (including food, shelter, clothing, money, health)

2nd: Spleen Chakra (Orange) – Emotions and sexuality

3rd:  Solar Plexus Chakra (Yellow) – Power center and connection of spirit with the physical body

4th:  Heart Chakra (Green) – Unconditional divine love

5th:  Throat Chakra (Blue) – Communication, creativity and spiritual expression

6th:  Brow Chakra (Indigo) – Seeing energy clearly (“clairvoyance”); clear perspective

7th:  Crown Chakra (Purple) – Connection to Spirit; knowing and certainty

Now that I’ve introduced you to the basics of “chakraology”, let’s look deeper at the energetic function of each chakra. In addition to their appearance as wheels, chakras act as portals where energy flows in and out. Lying within them are the sum total of all the elements of every energetic form existing in the universe, creating a balance between your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. These chakra wheels open and close like camera lenses. Flowing out from them is the energetic information each chakra disseminates to aid you in navigating this physical realm. Flowing into them is information from the world outside of you, much like a computer downloads data programs from an external source. Sometimes, like with computers, this information takes the form of viruses that cause you to think, emote and behave in ways that don’t represent your true self, your real self.

The very essence of you rests securely within your soul. Your soul is a light body that looks very much like your physical body. Your soul emanates pure light, and as I pointed out before, this light has various color vibrations displaying the perfect harmonic balance for you. When you look into your chakras, you can see your soul. You can determine, for example, from your first chakra what lifestyle you choose to demonstrate as your living purpose. Or, from the fourth chakra what and who you love unconditionally. You can see your individual best expressive form when peering into the fifth chakra. And you can tap into the real use of your personal power shinning from your third chakra. Each and every chakra, through your intuition, heart-felt emotion or real knowing, indicates what your soul is divulging to you. It’s simply a matter of being still, being quiet and allowing each chakra to express what your soul desires are for you and what your soul has come here to do. Once you clear yourself of outside sources (such as beliefs from others, forms of expression not your own, fear of all kinds, and past or future experiences), you can and will absolutely find the windows to your soul guiding the way to a more easy, free and happy way of living.

The best way to be aware and experience the essence of your soul, through the windows of your chakras, is by means of meditation and prayer. In prayer, ask for the true essence and messages of your soul to be revealed as you focus on each chakra in meditation, where the answers to those questions are better received.
